One of our SUMC members, Barb Reinke, led another mission trip to Mizak in February,in support of Haitian Artisans for Peace International HAPI is an advance arm of the United Methodist Church. The team focused on artisan training, electrician training, software updates and teaching in the national school. The artisans learned to create mosaic picture frames, wrapped sea glass jewelry and packaged Peace Cairns. A mosaic artist added a beautiful wall mosaic to the Feline Health Center. The team also visited the newly constructed home of the Damis family, whose previous home was damaged beyond repair from Hurricane Matthew. Donations from SUMC and other United Methodist churches helped build the new home. Click here to see the results!
If you feel God calling you to serve in Haiti, please contact Barb.
