Noisy Offering Sunday, May 25

The Noisy Offering fpr May will support Stilwell United Methodist Church's Vacation Bible School program. Remember to bring your spare change to church!

Vacation Bible School June 9 - 13, 9 am - noon daily

Slime Time! This year our church will be roping in the fun as we host Power Lab: Discovering Jesus' Miraculous Power VBS, June 9-13, 2008! Our Power Lab program will provide fun, memorable Bible-learning activities for kids of all ages. Each day kids will sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, nibble on test tube treats, take on a Daily Challenge to let God’s love grow into their homes, experience electrifying Bible adventures, and create Bible Point Crafts they’ll take home and play with all summer long. This program is for children ages 4 - 5th grade (completed). Sign-ups begin May 1st. You may obtain a registration form here. Spaces fill quickly and your Jr. Scientologist will not want to miss the fun! No Sunday School Sunday May 25

There will be no Sunday school on Sunday, May 25th for the Memorial Day weekend.

Safe and Sacred Spaces Training

The Church of the Resurrection is offering Safe and Sacred Spaces training courses for those individuals interested in working with children and youth at Stilwell UMC. Individuals wishing to become certified must attend a training course, pass a background check, and have two references.

COR’s training dates are scheduled for April 12th, May 5th, and June 13th. Each session runs from 9 am to noon. You may register for one of these sessions on the website www. cor.org (under news & calendar section, then click on children’s calendar.) You can receive advanced copies of the reference & background check forms at www. kansaseast.org (under the administration tab.) Please contact Aimee F. with questions.

Preschool Registration for 2008-2009 Begins!

Church Members may begin registering their preschoolers the week of February 4th, 2008. Open Registration begins Monday, February 11th.

Our schedule for next year is as follows:
PDO (2 1/2 to 3 year olds) - Thursdays - 9 am to 1 pm (8 child maximum)
Preschool (3 to 4 year olds) - Mon, Tue, Wed - 9 am to 11:30 am (10 child maximum)
Pre-K (4 to 5 year olds) - Monday through Thursday - 9 am to 11:30 am (14 child maximum)

A child will be officially enrolled when the “Registration Information” forms (page 1-3) and the $50 non-refundable registration fee are received in the Preschool Office. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.
